Job 17:13

Treasury of Scripture Knowledge

If I wait, the grave is mine house: I have made my bed in the darkness.

If a man dies, will he live [again]? All the days of my compulsory service I will wait, until the coming of my relief.

Wait for Yahweh. Be strong and let your heart show strength, and wait for Yahweh.

Yahweh is good to those who wait on him, to the person that seeks him.

"My spirit is pulled down; my days are extinguished; [the] graveyard [is] for me.

Before I go--and I will not return-- to [the] land of darkness and deep shadow,

Indeed, I know [that] you will bring me to death and [to the] house of assembly for all [the] living.

If I ascend to heaven, there you [are], and if I make my bed [in] Sheol, look! [There] you [are].

he enters [into] peace; they will rest on their beds, walking straight ahead of him.

So {I began to despair} of all the toil with which I toiled under the sun.

I was the one who said, "I must go in the quiet of my days; I am summoned through the gates of Sheol [for] the rest of my years."
