¹¹ So the land rested forty years. Then Othniel son of Kenaz died. ¹² And again the {Israelites} did evil in the eyes of Yahweh. So Yahweh strengthened Eglon king of Moab against Israel, because they did evil in the eyes of Yahweh. ¹³ He gathered to himself the {Ammonites and Amalekites}, and he went and defeated Israel, and they took possession of the city of palms.

1 Samuel 12:9
