Peter said to them, “Repent, and each of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins; and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.

Therefore repent and return, so that your sins may be wiped away, in order that times of refreshing may come from the presence of the Lord;

He is the one whom God exalted to His right hand as a

Prince and a Savior, to grant repentance to Israel, and forgiveness of sins.

Of Him all the prophets bear witness that through His name everyone who believes in Him receives forgiveness of sins.”

Therefore let it be known to you, brethren, that through Him forgiveness of sins is proclaimed to you,

whom God displayed publicly as a propitiation

in His blood through faith. This was to demonstrate His righteousness, because in the forbearance of God He passed over the sins previously committed;

just as David also speaks of the blessing on the man to whom God credits righteousness apart from works:

In Him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of our trespasses, according to the riches of His grace
