(Therefore a man will leave his father and his mother and cling to his wife, and they will become one flesh.)

The LORD told Abram, "You are to leave your land, your relatives, and your father's house and go to the land that I'm going to show you.

Remove her prisoner's clothing and let her remain for a month in your house, mourning her parents. After that, you may become her husband and she is to become your wife.
