in the land

– הַנֶּ֑גֶב

of the Negev –

and the Hittite ､

､ וְהַיְבוּסִ֤י

wə·hay·ḇū·sî

and the Jebusite ､

､ וְהָֽאֱמֹרִי֙

and the Amorite ､

– בָּהָ֔ר

in the mountains –

וְהַֽכְּנַעֲנִי֙

and the Canaanite

the sea ､

וְעַ֖ל

the Nephilim ､

וַנְּהִ֤י

and we were

in our own sight

､ כַּֽחֲגָבִ֔ים

like grasshoppers ､

וְכֵ֥ן

so

הָיִ֖ינוּ

in their sight .
