'High Mountain' in the Bible

You shall utterly destroy all the places where the nations whom you shall dispossess serve their gods, on the high mountains and the hills and under every green [leafy] tree.

A mountain of God is the mountain of Bashan;A [high] mountain of many summits is Mount Bashan [rising east of the Jordan].

The high mountains are for the wild goats;The rocks are a refuge for the shephanim.
