1 Corinthians 1:10-17 - Divisions In The Church At Corinth

10 Now, I beseech you, brethren, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that you all speak the same thing, and that there be no schisms among you, but that you be perfectly united in the same mind, and in the same judgment. 11 For it has been made known to me concerning you, my brethren, by the family of Cloe, that there are contentions among you. 12 I mean this: that each one of you says, I am of Paul, and I of Apollos, and I of Cephas, and I of Christ. 13 Is the Christ divided? Was Paul crucified for you? or were you immersed into the name of Paul? 14 I thank God that I immersed none of you, but Crispus and Gaius; 15 that no one may say that I immersed into my own name. 16 I did, in deed, immerse the household of Stephanus; besides, I know not whether I immersed any other. 17 For Christ sent me not to immerse, but to preach the gospel: not with wisdom of speech, lest the cross of the Christ should be deprived of its power.
