Matthew 26:26-30 - The Lord's Supper

Matthew 26:26-30

26 And as they were eating, Jesus took bread, and when he had given thanks, he broke it, and gave it to the disciples, and said: Take, eat; this is my body. 27 And he took the cup, and gave thanks, and gave it to them, saying: Do you all drink of it: 28 for this is my blood of the new covenant, which is poured out for many in order to the remission of sins. 29 But I say to you, I will not drink henceforth of this fruit of the vine, till that day when I drink it with you new in the kingdom of my Father. 30 And when they had sung a hymn, they went out into the mount of Olives.

Mark 14:22-26

22 And while they were eating, Jesus took bread, and blessed, and broke it, and gave it to them, and said: Take, eat; this is my body.

23 And he took the cup, and when he had given thanks, he gave it to them; and they all drank of it. 24 And he said to them: This is my blood of the new covenant, which is poured out for many. 25 Verily I say to you, I shall drink no more of the fruit of the vine, till that day when I shall drink it new in the kingdom of God. 26 And when they had sung a hymn, they went out into the mount of Olives.

Luke 22:14-23

14 And when the hour had come, he reclined at table, and the twelve apostles with him. 15 And he said to them: I have greatly desired to eat this passover with you before I suffer. 16 For I say to you, I will eat of it no more till it is fulfilled in the kingdom of God. 17 And he took the cup, and gave thanks, and said: Take this, and divide it among yourselves; 18 for I say to you, I will not drink of the fruit of the vine till the kingdom of God has come.

19 And he took bread, and gave thanks; and he broke, and gave it to them, saying: This is my body, which is given for you: do this in remembrance of me.

20 In like manner also, the cup, after he had supped, saying: This cup is the new covenant in my blood, which is shed for you. 21 But, behold, the hand of him that delivers me up is with me on the table. 22 And the Son of man goes, as it is determined; but alas for that man by whom he is delivered up.

23 And they began to inquire among themselves, which of them it could be that was about to do this thing.
