Matthew 24:36-44 - The Unknown Day And Hour
36 But concerning that day and hour, no one knows, not even the angels of Heaven, neither the Son, but the Father only. 37 For as the days of Noe were, so shall be the coming of the Son of Man. 38 For, as in the days before the flood, they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day on which Noe entered into the ark, 39 and they knew not until the flood came, and took them all away; so will be the coming of the Son of Man. 40 Then two men will be in the field; one is carried off, and one is left behind; 41 two women will be grinding at the mill, one is carried off, and one is left behind. 42 Watch ye, therefore, because ye know not in what day your Lord is coming. 43 But know this, that, had the householder known at what watch the thief would come, he would have watched, and would not have suffered his house to be broken through. 44 Therefore, be ye also ready; for, in an hour that ye think not, the Son of Man is coming.
32 But concerning that day or hour no one knows, not even the angels in Heaven, nor the Son, but the Father. 33 Take heed, watch [and pray]; for ye know not when the time is. 34 It is as when a man away from home, having left his house, and having given authority to his servants, to each his work, commanded also the porter to watch. 35 Watch, therefore, for ye know not when the master of the house is coming, at evening, or at midnight, or at cock-crowing, or in the morning; 36 lest, coming suddenly, he find you sleeping. 37 And what I say to you, I say to all, 'Watch.'"
