Therefore, as through one man sin entered into the world, and death through sin; and so death passed unto all men, for that all sinned;
And who of you, by being anxious, can add to his stature one cubit?
(ye who, indeed, know nothing of to-morrow! what is your life? for ye are a vapor that appears for a little time, and then vanishes away);
For, if we live, we live to the Lord; and, if we die, we die to the Lord: whether we live, therefore, or die, we are the Lord's.
For to me to live is Christ, and to die is gain.
And I heard a voice from Heaven, saying, "Write: Happy are the dead who die in the Lord from henceforth! Yea," saith the Spirit, "that they may rest from their labors; for their works follow with them."
These things He spake; and after this He saith to them, "Our friend Lazarus has fallen asleep; but I am going to awake him out of sleep." The disciples, therefore, said to Him, "Lord, if he has fallen asleep, he will recover!" Now Jesus had spoken concerning his death; but they thought He spake of taking rest in sleep.
And, having entered, He saith to them, "Why do ye make a tumult, and weep? the child did not die, but she is sleeping."
For David, indeed, having served his own generation according to the will of God, fell asleep, and was added to his fathers, and saw corruption;
after that He appeared to above five hundred brethren at once, of whom the greater part remain until now, but some fell asleep.
For this we say to You, in a word of the Lord, that we, the living who remain over to the coming of the Lord, shall in nowise precede those who fell asleep; because the Lord Himself will descend from Heaven, with a shout, with a voice of an archangel, and with a trumpet of God; and the dead in Christ shall rise first; after that we, the living who are left over, will be caught up together with them in clouds, into the air, to meet the Lord; and so shall we always be with the Lord.
Behold, I tell you a mystery: we shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed, in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump; for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.
for the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Christ Jesus, our Lord.
Jesus saith to him, "You said it: nevertheless I say to you, henceforth ye shall see the Son of Man sitting on the right hand of power, and coming on the clouds of heaven."
And Jesus said, "I am; and ye shall see the Son of Man sitting on the right hand of Power, and coming with the clouds of heaven."
who also said, "Men of Galilee, why do ye stand looking into the heaven? This Jesus, Who was taken up from you into Heaven, shall so come in like manner as ye beheld Him ascending into Heaven."
so also Christ, having once for all been offered to bear the sins of many, will, to those who are eagerly waiting for Him; appear a second time apart from sin, unto salvation.
But concerning that day and hour, no one knows, not even the angels of Heaven, neither the Son, but the Father only.
But concerning that day or hour no one knows, not even the angels in Heaven, nor the Son, but the Father.
Therefore, be ye also ready; for, in an hour that ye think not, the Son of Man is coming.
Be ye also ready; because at an hour ye think not the Son of Man cometh."
"Behold, I come as a thief! Happy is he that is watching, and keeping his garments; that he walk not naked, and they see his shame."
For the Son of Man is about to come in the glory of His Father with His angels, and then will He render to each one according to his work.
"And, when the Son of man cometh in His glory, and all the angels with Him, then will He sit on the throne of His glory; and there will be gathered before Him all the nations; and He will separate them one from another, as the shepherd separates the sheep from the goats;
And, if I go and prepare a place for you, I am coming again, and will receive you to Myself; that, where I am, ye may be also.
Wherefore, judge nothing before the time, until the Lord come, Who will both bring to light the hidden things of darkness, and make manifest the counsels of the hearts; and then will each one have his praise from God.
because the Lord Himself will descend from Heaven, with a shout, with a voice of an archangel, and with a trumpet of God; and the dead in Christ shall rise first; after that we, the living who are left over, will be caught up together with them in clouds, into the air, to meet the Lord; and so shall we always be with the Lord.
and, when the Chief Shepherd is manifested, ye will obtain the unfading crown of glory.
Beloved, now are we children of God, and never yet was it manifested what we shall be. We know that, if He shall be manifested, we shall be like Him, because we shall see Him as He is.
And now, little children, abide in Him; that, if He shall be manifested, we may have confidence, and not be put away from Him with shame at His coming.
Watch, therefore, for ye know not when the master of the house is coming, at evening, or at midnight, or at cock-crowing, or in the morning;
Repent ye, therefore, and turn, that your sins may be blotted out, that so there may come seasons of refreshing from the presence of the Lord; and that He may send forth Christ Jesus who had been before appointed for you;
I charge you before God who preserves alive all things, and Christ Jesus Who before Pontius Pilate testified a good confession, that you keep the commandment, unsullied, irreproachable, until the appearing of our Lord Jesus Christ,
Seeing, therefore, that all these things are thus to be dissolved, what manner of persons ought ye to be in all holy conduct and godliness,
Marvel not at this; because there is an hour coming, in which all who are in their tombs shall hear His voice, and come forth; those who did good, to the resurrection of life; but those who practiced evil, to the resurrection of judgment.

For this is the will of My Father, that every one who beholds the Son, and believes on Him, should have eternal life; and I will raise him up at the last day."
Jesus said to her, "I am the resurrection and the life; he that believes on Me, though he die, yet shall he live;
knowing that He Who raised up the Lord Jesus will raise up us also with Jesus, and will present us with you.
because the Lord Himself will descend from Heaven, with a shout, with a voice of an archangel, and with a trumpet of God; and the dead in Christ shall rise first;
and come forth; those who did good, to the resurrection of life; but those who practiced evil, to the resurrection of judgment.
"And these shall go away into age-lasting punishment, but the righteous into age-lasting life."
So also is the resurrection of the dead. It is sown in corruption, it is raised in incorruption; it is sown in dishonor, it is raised in glory; it is sown in weakness, it is raised in power; it is sown a natural body, it is raised a spiritual body. If there is a natural body, there is also a spiritual body.
And this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the Kingdom of God; neither does corruption inherit incorruption. Behold, I tell you a mystery: we shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed, in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump; for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.read more.
For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality.
And inasmuch as it is appointed to men once to die, but after this comes judgment;
And I saw a great white throne, and Him Who was sitting thereon, from Whose face the earth and the heaven fled away; and no place was found for them. And I saw the dead, the great and the small, standing before the throne; and books were opened; and another book was opened, which is the book of life; and the dead were judged out of the things that were written in the books, according to their works.
For neither doth the Father judge any one, but all judgment He hath given to the Son;
And He commanded us to preach to the people, and to fully testify that it is He Who hath been ordained by God Judge of the living and dead.
inasmuch as He appointed a day in which He intendeth to judge the inhabited earth in righteousness, by a Man Whom He appointed, having given assurance to all by raising Him from the dead."
and the Living One; and I was dead; and, behold, I am alive forevermore; and I have the keys of death and of Hades.
He who rejects Me, and receives not My words, has one that judges him: the word that I spake, the same shall judge him in the last day.
and to you who suffer tribulation, relief with us, at the revelation of the Lord Jesus from Heaven with the angels of His power, in flaming fire, awarding vengeance to those who know not God, and to those who obey not the Gospel of our Lord Jesus;
but the present heavens and the earth, by the same word, have been stored up for fire, being kept unto the day of judgment and perdition of ungodly men.
And, if anyone was not found written in the book of life, he was cast into the lake of fire.
"Verily, verily, I say to you, He that hears My word, and believes Him Who sent Me, has eternal life, and comes not into judgment, but has passed out of death into life.
He that believes on Him is not judged; he that believes not has been judged already, because he has not believed on the name of the only begotten Son of God.
Consequently, there is now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus. For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus made me free from the law of sin and death.
For we must all be manifested before the judgment-seat of Christ; that each one may receive the things done through the body, according to the things which he practiced, whether good or evil.
