2 Timothy 1:3-7 - Timothy's Spiritual Heritage

3 I thank God, Whom I serve from my forefathers, in a pure conscience, that I have an unceasing remembrance of you in my supplications night and day; 4 longing to see you, remembering your tears, that I may be filled with joy; 5 having a remembrance of the unfeigned faith which is in you; which, indeed, dwelt first in your grand-mother Lois, and your mother Eunice; and, I have become persuaded, in you also.

6 For which cause, I put you in remembrance that you stir into flame the gift of God, which is in you through the laying on of hands. 7 For God did not give us a spirit of timidity, but of power and love and sobriety.
