Therefore the Lord, the LORD of hosts, the Mighty One of Israel, says: "Ah, I will get relief from my adversaries, and avenge myself of my enemies;

Thus says the Lord, the LORD of hosts, "Go, get yourself to this treasurer, even to Shebna, who is over the house, and say,

Get out of the way. Turn aside from the path. Cause the Holy One of Israel to cease from before us."

Even the youths faint and get weary, and the young men utterly fall;

"Come," say they, "I will get wine, and we will fill ourselves with strong drink; and tomorrow shall be as this day, great beyond measure."
