Brethren, it was necessary for this scripture to be fulfilled, which the Holy Spirit had before spoken by the mouth of David, concerning Judas, who was a guide to those who took Jesus:

The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before that great and terrible day of the Lord comes.

be it known to you all, and to all the people of Israel, that by the name of Jesus Christ the Nazarene, whom you crucified, whom God raised from the dead, by him does this man stand before you in health.

saying: "We found the prison closed with all safety, and the guards standing before the doors; but when we had opened, we found no one within.

And when they had brought them, they made them stand before the Sanhedrin; and the chief priest asked them,

For before these days Theudas arose, declaring himself to be some great one; to whom a number of men, about four hundred, joined themselves; and he was slain; and all, as many as believed him, were scattered and brought to naught.

And when he had said this, he took bread, and gave thanks to God before them all, and broke, and began to eat.
