Paul, a prisoner of Jesus Christ, and Timotheus a brother, to Philemon the beloved and our fellow-labourer,

Grace be unto you, and peace from God our Father, and the Lord Jesus Christ.

I thank my God, making mention of thee always in my prayers, (Hearing of thy faith which thou hast toward the Lord Jesus,

toward all saints) That the communication of thy faith may become effectual, by the acknowledgment of every good thing which is in you through Christ Jesus.

Yet out of love I rather beseech thee, being such an one as Paul the aged, and now also the prisoner of Jesus Christ.

Epaphras my fellow-prisoner in Christ Jesus saluteth you,

The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with your spirit.
