See how the very fact that you were made sorry from a godly motive has produced earnestness in you! [In doing this] I am not trying to disregard God's unearned favor, for if a person could become right with God by [perfect obedience to the requirements of] the law of Moses, then Christ died for nothing.

And who do you think would [try to] hurt you if you become enthusiastic for doing what is right?

but in every nation the man who reveres God and practices doing right is acceptable to Him.
