And the lot came out for the children of Joseph from the Jordan at Jericho, at the waters of Jericho on the east, even the wilderness, going up from Jericho through the hill-country to Beth-el;

And it goes out from Beth-el to Luz, and on as far as the limit of the Archites to Ataroth;

and went down westward to the border of the Japhletites, as far as the border of the lower Beth-horon, and to Gezer; and ended at the sea.

And the border of the children of Ephraim was according to their families; the border of their inheritance eastwards was Ataroth-Addar as far as the upper Beth-horon;

From Tappuah the border goeth westward unto the brook of Kanah, and its outgoings have been at the sea: this is the inheritance of the tribe of the sons of Ephraim, for their families.

And the separate cities for the children of Ephraim were among the inheritance of the children of Manasseh, all the cities with their villages.

And the second lot came forth to Simeon, even for the tribe of the children of Simeon according to their families: and their inheritance was within the inheritance of the children of Judah.

And they had for their inheritance Beer-sheba, or Sheba, and Moladah,

Beth-lebaoth, and Sharuhen, for a total of thirteen towns and villages.

And from there it goes on east to Gath-hepher, to Eth-kazin; ending at Rimmon which goes as far as Neah;

and Kattath, Nahalal, Shimron, Idalah, and Bethlehem, for a total of twelve towns and villages.

This is the inheritance of the sons of Zebulun, for their families, these cities and their villages.

And the fourth lot came out to Issachar, for the children of Issachar according to their families.

And their limit goes as far as Tabor and Shahazimah and Beth-shemesh, ending at Jordan; sixteen towns with their unwalled places.

This is the inheritance of the tribe of the sons of Issachar, for their families, the cities and their villages.

And the fifth lot came out for the tribe of the children of Asher according to their families.

Turning to the east to Beth-dagon and stretching to Zebulun and the valley of Iphtah-el as far as Beth-emek and Neiel to the north; on the left it goes as far as Cabul

and Ebron, and Rehob, and Hammon, and Kanah, as far as great Zidon;

and the border turned to Ramah, and as far as the fortified city of Tyre; and the border turned to Hosah; and ended at the sea by the tract of country of Achzib;

Ummah, Aphek, and Rehob, for a total of 22 towns and villages.

This is the inheritance of the tribe of the sons of Asher, for their families, these cities and their villages.

The sixth lot came out to the children of Naphtali, even for the children of Naphtali according to their families.

Their border ran from Heleph, from the oak in Zaanannim and Adami-nekeb and Jabneel, as far as Lakkum, and it ended at the Jordan.

Iron, Migdal-el, Horem, Beth-anath, and Beth-shemesh, for a total of nineteen towns and their villages.

This is the inheritance of the tribe of the sons of Naphtali, for their families, the cities and their villages.

And the seventh lot came out for the tribe of the children of Dan according to their families.

And the coast of the children of Dan went out too little for them: therefore the children of Dan went up to fight against Leshem, and took it, and smote it with the edge of the sword, and possessed it, and dwelt therein, and called Leshem, Dan, after the name of Dan their father.

This is the inheritance of the tribe of the sons of Dan, for their families, these cities and their villages.

When they had made an end of dividing the land for inheritance by their coasts, the children of Israel gave an inheritance to Joshua the son of Nun among them:
