So King David sent and brought him from the house of Makir the son of Ammiel from Lo Debar.

Just as David had arrived in Mahanaim, Shobi the son of Nahash from Rabbah of the {Ammonites} and Makir the son of Ammiel from Lo Debar and Barzillai the Gileadite from Rogelim

[You] who rejoice over Lo-Debar, who say, "Have we not taken Karnaim for ourselves by our strength?"
