But he said unto them, Give you them to eat. And they said, We have no more but five loaves and two fishes; unless we should go and buy food for all this people.

For they were about five thousand men. And he said to his disciples, Make them sit down by fifties in companies.

And they did so, and made them all sit down.

And they did eat, and were all filled: and there was taken up of fragments that remained to them twelve baskets.

They answering said, John the Baptist; but some say, Elijah; and others say, that one of the old prophets is risen again.

And as he went, they spread their clothes in the way.

And when he came near, even now at the descent of the mount of Olives, the whole multitude of the disciples began to rejoice and praise God with a loud voice for all the mighty works that they had seen;

Saying, If you had known, even you, at least in this your day, the things which belong unto your peace! but now they are hid from your eyes.
