God is my witness, to whom I render holy service in my spirit in the gospel of his Son, how unceasingly I am ever making mention of you in my prayers,
FOR I AM PROUD OF THE GOSPEL. IT IS GOD'S SAVING POWER FOR EVERY ONE WHO BELIEVES. FOR THE JEW FIRST, AND ALSO FOR THE GENTILE.
For God's wrath is ever being revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men who smother the truth by their unrighteousness.

"We know that God's judgment against those who practise such vices is in accord with the truth," you say?
Very well; and do you suppose, you who judge those that practise such vices, and are doing the very same, that you will elude the judgment of God?
eternal life to those who by patience in well-doing strive for glory and honor and immortality;
but anger and wrath upon those who are self-willed and disobey the truth, but obey unrighteousness.
Anguish and calamity will be upon every soul of man who practices evil, upon the Jew first, and also upon the Gentile;
but glory and honor and peace to every man who does good, to the Jew first, and also to the Gentile.
For all who have sinned without law will also perish without law; and all who have sinned under law will be judged by law.
For it is not the hearers of law who are righteous in the eyes of God; nay, it is the doers of law who will be accounted righteous.
For when Gentiles, who have no law, obey by natural instinct the commands of the Law, they even though they have no law, are a law to themselves.

Now we know that whatever the Law says, it speaks to those who are under the Law; so that every mouth may be shut, and all the world may be brought under the judgment of God.
I mean a righteousness coming from God through faith in Jesus Christ, for all who believe. For there is no distinction between Jew and Gentile,
I say, at this present time; that he himself might be just, and yet the justifier of him who has faith in Jesus.
since there is one God who will justify the circumcised through faith, and by their faith will he justify the uncircumcised.
but a man who does not "work," but believes in him who justifies the ungodly, has his faith imputed to him for righteousness.
Just as David also speaks of the blessedness of the man to whom God imputes righteousness apart from actions.
Blessed is the man to whom the Lord will not impute sin.
and he received circumcision as a sign, a seal of the faith-righteousness which he had while he was in uncircumcision; in order that he might be the father of all who believe, even though they are uncircumcised; so that righteousness might be imputed to them.
He is the father of circumcision to those who are not merely circumcised, but who also walk in the steps of that faith of our father Abraham which he held while he was as yet uncircumcised.
For if those who are righteous through law are heirs, faith is empty and the promise becomes void.
This is why righteousness is of faith, that it may be a free gift; so that the promise stands firm to all Abraham's posterity; not to his children of his faith. For in the sight of the God in whom he believed, who gives life to the dead, and calls into being that which is not, Abraham is the father of us all both Jews and Gentiles,
For it will be "reckoned for righteousness." to us also, who believe on him that raised from the dead our Lord Jesus;

Nevertheless, from Adam to Moses death reigned as king, even over those who had not sinned after the likeness of Adam's transgression. Now Adam is a type of Him who was to come.
For if through the transgression of the one, death reigned as king through the one, much more shall those who receive the overflowing grace and gift of righteousness reign as kings in life through One, through Jesus Christ.

Do you not know that when you surrender yourselves as slaves to any one to obey him, you are his slaves whom you obey; whether it be sin, whose end is death, or obedience, whose end is righteousness?
