Jotham » Son of azariah, king of judah
Jotham died and was buried in the royal tombs in David's City. His son Ahaz succeeded him as king.
Jehovah sent disease on the king and he became a leper. To the day of his death he lived separately in his private house. Jotham his son was over his house, judging the people of the land. Now the rest of the acts of Azariah, and all he did are recorded in the Book of the History of the Kings of Judah. Azariah slept with his fathers. He was buried with his fathers in the town of David. Jotham his son became king in his place.
Jotham son of Uzziah became king of Judah. It was in the second year of Pekah son of Remaliah king of Israel.

King Uzziah had a skin disease until the day he died. Since he had a skin disease, he lived in a separate house and was barred from Jehovah's Temple. His son Jotham was in charge of the royal palace and governed the country. Everything else about Uzziah is recorded by the prophet Isaiah, son of Amoz. Uzziah lay down in death with his ancestors and was buried with them in a field containing tombs that belonged to the kings. People said: He has a skin disease. His son Jotham succeeded him as king.
