And he brought forth the people that were therein and put them under saws and under harrows of iron and under axes of iron and made them pass through the brickkiln, and thus did he unto all the cities of the sons of Ammon. So David and all the people returned unto Jerusalem.
and he who went into the woods with his neighbour to cut firewood and his hand fetched a stroke with the axe to cut down the tree and the head slipped from the handle and lighted upon his neighbour so that he died, he shall flee unto one of those cities and live,
But all the Israelites went down to the Philistines to sharpen each man his share and his coulter and his axe and his mattock and when they had nicks in the mattocks and the coulters and the forks and the axes, or to fix a goad.
Renowned, as one on the way to heaven, he who lifted up axes upon the thick trees for the work of the sanctuary. But now they break down all the carved work thereof with axes and hammers.
