And the sons of the Levites bore the ark of God upon their shoulders with the staves thereon, as Moses commanded according to the word of LORD.

And the ruler of the fathers' house of the families of the Kohathites shall be Elizaphan the son of Uzziel. And their charge shall be the ark, and the table, and the candlestick, and the altars, and the vessels of the sanctuary with which they minister, and the screen, and all the service of it.

This is the service of the sons of Kohath in the tent of meeting, [about] the most holy things:

And those who were numbered of them were twenty-three thousand, every male from a month old and upward, for they were not numbered among the sons of Israel, because there was no inheritance given them among the sons of Israel.

They shall be mine. I am LORD. And LORD spoke to Moses in the wilderness of Sinai, saying, Number the sons of Levi by their fathers' houses, by their families. Thou shall number them, every male from a month old and upward. And Moses numbered them according to the word of LORD, as he was commanded.

[Is it] a small thing to you, that the God of Israel has separated you from the congregation of Israel, to bring you near to himself, to do the service of the tabernacle of LORD, and to stand before the congregation to minister to

And David had upon him an ephod of linen.
