Then Pashhur smote Jeremiah the prophet, and put him in the stocks that were in the upper gate of Benjamin, which was in the house of LORD.

And having expelled him out of the city, they stoned him. And the witnesses laid down their garments beside the feet of a young man called Saul.

But all the congregation bade stone them with stones. And the glory of LORD appeared in the tent of meeting to all the sons of Israel.
