For if God spared not the angels that sinned, but cast them down to hell, and delivered them into chains of darkness, to be reserved unto judgment;
And the angels which kept not their first estate, but left their own habitation, he hath reserved in everlasting chains under darkness unto the judgment of the great day.
Therefore pride compasseth them about as a chain; violence covereth them as a garment.
Make a chain: for the land is full of bloody crimes, and the city is full of violence. Her gates are sunk into the ground; he hath destroyed and broken her bars: her king and her princes are among the Gentiles: the law is no more; her prophets also find no vision from the LORD.
We see not our signs: there is no more any prophet: neither is there among us any that knoweth how long.
