When Pilate saw that he was getting nowhere, but that a riot was starting instead, he took some water, washed his hands in front of the crowd, and said, “I am innocent of this man’s blood. See to it yourselves!”

Then Noah built an altar to the Lord. He took some of every kind of clean animal and every kind of clean bird and offered burnt offerings on the altar. The fear and terror of you will be in every living creature on the earth, every bird of the sky, every creature that crawls on the ground, and all the fish of the sea. And God said, "This is the sign of the covenant I am making between Me and you and every living creature with you, a covenant for all future generations: I have placed My bow in the clouds, and it will be a sign of the covenant between Me and the earth. Whenever I form clouds over the earth and the bow appears in the clouds, I will remember My covenant between Me and you and every living creature of all flesh: water will never again become a deluge to destroy all flesh. The bow will be in the clouds, and I will look at it and remember the everlasting covenant between God and every living creature of all flesh on earth." God said to Noah, "This is the sign of the covenant that I have confirmed between Me and all flesh on earth."



Though the mountains move
and the hills shake,
My love will not be removed from you
and My covenant of peace will not be shaken,”

But among the ones that chew the cud or have divided hooves you are not to eat these:

the camel, though it chews the cud,
does not have divided hooves—it is unclean for you;


He must not eat an animal that died naturally or was mauled by wild beasts, making himself unclean by it; I am Yahweh.

“No, Lord!” Peter said. “For I have never eaten anything common and ritually unclean!”

“You must not eat any detestable thing.

but you may not eat anything that does not have fins and scales—it is unclean for you.
