A despairing man should have the devotion of his friends, even though he forsakes his reverence for the Almighty.
Is this not the fast I choose to loosen the bonds of wickedness, to undo the bands of the yoke, and to let the oppressed go free and break every yoke? Is it not to divide your bread with the hungry and bring the homeless poor into the house? When you see the naked, should you cover him and not hide yourself from your own flesh?

If there is any consolation in Christ, if any comfort of love, if any fellowship of the Spirit, if any tender affection (tender mercy) and compassions, make my joy full by being of the same mind, having the same love, being of one accord, and of one purpose.

You will pray to him and he will hear you! You will pay your vows. You will decide on a matter, and it will be established for you. The light of God's favor will shine on your ways. When others are humiliated, you say it is pride for he saves the humble. He will deliver even those who are guilty. They will escape because of the cleanness of your hands.
