Then said he to Thomas, Reach here your finger, and behold my hands; and reach here your hand, and thrust it into my side: and be not faithless, but believing. And Thomas answered and said unto him, My Lord and my God. Jesus said unto him, Thomas, because you have seen me, you have believed: blessed are they that have not seen, and yet have believed.



Who humbles himself to behold the things that are in heaven, and in the earth!


Though the LORD be high, yet has he respect unto the lowly: but the proud he knows from afar.

And when the Pharisees saw it, they said unto his disciples, Why does your Teacher eat with tax collectors and sinners?

For he has regarded the low estate of his handmaiden: for, behold, from henceforth all generations shall call me blessed.

He rose from supper, and laid aside his garments; and took a towel, and girded himself.

And when he had so said, he showed unto them his hands and his side. Then were the disciples glad, when they saw the Lord.

And after eight days again his disciples were inside, and Thomas with them: then came Jesus, the doors being shut, and stood in the midst, and said, Peace be unto you. Then said he to Thomas, Reach here your finger, and behold my hands; and reach here your hand, and thrust it into my side: and be not faithless, but believing. And Thomas answered and said unto him, My Lord and my God. read more.

The other disciples therefore said unto him, We have seen the Lord. But he said unto them, Except I shall see in his hands the print of the nails, and put my finger into the print of the nails, and thrust my hand into his side, I will not believe. And after eight days again his disciples were inside, and Thomas with them: then came Jesus, the doors being shut, and stood in the midst, and said, Peace be unto you. But one of the soldiers with a spear pierced his side, and immediately came there out blood and water.


After these things Jesus showed himself again to the disciples at the sea of Tiberias; and in this way showed he himself. There were together Simon Peter, and Thomas called Didymus, and Nathanael of Cana in Galilee, and the sons of Zebedee, and two other of his disciples.
