And there arose a reasoning among them, which of them was the greatest? And Jesus seeing the thought of their heart, took a little child, and sat him by him, And said to them, whosoever shall receive this child in my name, receiveth me; and whosoever shall receive me, receiveth him that sent me: for he that is least among you all, the same shall be great.

And they that went before, and they that followed after cried, saying, Hosanna: Blessed is he that cometh in the name of the Lord. Blessed be the kingdom of our father David that cometh: Hosanna in the highest.


And he constrained his disciples, to go straightway into the vessel, and go before him to the other side, while he sent the multitude away. And having sent the multitude away, he went up into a mountain apart to pray. And in the evening, he was there alone: but the vessel was now in the midst of the sea, tossed by the waves; for the wind was contrary. read more.
In the fourth watch of the night, Jesus went to them, walking on the sea. And the disciples seeing him walking on the sea, were troubled, saying, It is an apparition: and they cried out for fear. But Jesus immediately spake to them, saying, Take courage: it is I: be not afraid. And Peter answering him said, Lord, if it be thou, bid me come to thee on the water. And he said, Come. And Peter coming down from the vessel, walked on the water, to go to Jesus. But seeing the wind boisterous, he was afraid; and beginning to sink, he cried, Lord, save me. And immediately Jesus reaching forth his hand, caught him, and saith to him, O thou of little faith, wherefore didst thou doubt? And when they were come into the vessel, the wind ceased. Then they that were in the vessel, came and worshiped him, saying, Of a truth thou art the Son of God.

And straightway he constrained his disciples to go into the boat, and go before to the other side toward Bethsaida, while he sent away the people. And having sent them away, he went to a mountain to pray. And in the evening, the boat was in the midst of the sea, and he alone on the land. read more.
And he saw them toiling in rowing; for the wind was contrary to them. And about the fourth watch of the night he cometh to them, walking on the sea, and would have passed by them. But they seeing him walking on the sea, supposed it had been an apparition, and cried out. (For they all saw him and were troubled.) And immediately he talked with them, and saith to them, Take courage: it is I: be not afraid. And he went up to them into the boat, and the wind ceased: and they were amazed in themselves above measure and wondered. For they considered not the miracle of the loaves; for their heart was hardened.

Then those men, having seen the miracle which Jesus did, said, Of a truth this is the prophet that was to come into the world. Jesus therefore knowing, that they were about to come and take him by force to make him a king, again retired to the mountain all alone. Then they willingly received him into the ship; and immediately the ship was at the land to which they were bound.

And the devil said to him, All this power will I give thee, and the glory of them; for it is delivered to me, and I give it to whomsoever I will.
