Ashdod, its towns and its villages; Gaza, its towns and its villages; unto the brook of Egypt, and the great sea, and the border thereof .
Egypt » River, or brook (rv), of: perhaps identical with sihor, which see [sihor→] » A small stream flowing into the mediterranean sea, the western boundary of the land promised to the children of israel
from the Shihor, which is before Egypt, even unto the border of Ekron northward, which is reckoned to the Canaanites; the five lords of the Philistines; the Gazites, and the Ashdodites, the Ashkelonites, the Gittites, and the Ekronites; also the Avvim,

Gaza » Also called azzah » Allotted to judah
Ashdod, its towns and its villages; Gaza, its towns and its villages; unto the brook of Egypt, and the great sea, and the border thereof .
Also Judah took Gaza with the border thereof, and Ashkelon with the border thereof, and Ekron with the border thereof.

And I will set thy border from the Red Sea even unto the sea of the Philistines, and from the wilderness unto the River: for I will deliver the inhabitants of the land into your hand: and thou shalt drive them out before thee.
And it came to pass, when Pharaoh had let the people go, that God led them not by the way of the land of the Philistines, although that was near; for God said, Lest peradventure the people repent when they see war, and they return to Egypt:

This is the land that yet remaineth: all the regions of the Philistines, and all the Geshurites;
