The younger one said to him, Father I want my share of the property. He divided his property between his two sons.
They said: Jehovah commanded you to distribute the land to the people of Israel by drawing lots. He also commanded you to give the property of our relative Zelophehad to his daughters.
They came near before Eleazar the priest, and before Joshua the son of Nun, and before the princes, saying: Jehovah commanded Moses to give us an inheritance among our brothers. Therefore according to the commandment of Jehovah he gave them an inheritance among the brothers of their father.
The second lot came for Simeon, even for the tribe of the children of Simeon according to their families: and their inheritance was within the inheritance of the children of Judah.
When Joshua let the people go the children of Israel went, every man, to his inheritance to possess the land.

You have the right of possession and the redemption is yours. Buy it for yourself.' Then I knew that this was the word of Jehovah.
