Seeing then that I have called, and ye refused it: I have stretched out my hand, and no man regarded it,

Then began he to upbraid the cities, in which most of his miracles were done, because they repented not:

Nevertheless, if thou give warning unto the wicked: and he yet forsake not his ungodliness - Then shall he die in his own wickedness, but thou hast discharged thy soul.


The servant that knew his master's will, and prepared not himself, neither did according to his will, shall be beaten with many stripes.




When I was come to Troas for Christ's gospel's sake - and a great door was opened unto me of the Lord -


Say not ye, 'There are yet four months, and then cometh harvest?' Behold, I say unto you, lift up your eyes, and look on the regions: For they are white already unto harvest.

Then said he to his disciples, "The harvest is great, but the laborers are few:

and a vision appeared to Paul in the night. There stood a man of Macedonia and prayed him saying, "Come into Macedonia and help us."


Then came he to his disciples and said unto them, "Sleep henceforth, and take your rest. Take heed: the hour is at hand, and the son of man shall be betrayed into the hands of sinners.

And he came unto the disciples, and found them asleep, and said to Peter, "What, could ye not watch with me one hour? Watch and pray, that ye fall not into temptation. The spirit is willing, but the flesh is weak."


The same day at night, which was the morrow after the Sabbath day, when the doors were shut where the disciples were assembled together for fear of the Jews, came Jesus and stood in the midst, and said to them, "Peace be with you."

But Thomas one of the twelve, called Didymus, was not with them when Jesus came.


Then shall they also answer him, saying, 'Master, when saw we thee a hungered, or athirst, or harborless, or naked, or sick, or in prison, and have not ministered unto thee?' Then shall he answer them, and say, 'Verily I say unto you, inasmuch as ye did it not to one of the least of these, ye did it not to me.'


His master answered, and said unto him, 'Thou evil servant and slothful, thou knowest that I reap where I sowed not, and gather where I strawed not: Thou oughtest therefore to have had my money to the changers, and then at my coming should I have received my mine own with vantage.


And the man of God was angry with him and said, "Thou shouldest have smitten five or six times, and then thou hadst smitten the Syrians till thou hadst consumed them: where now thou shalt beat them but thrice."


And while they went to buy, the bridegroom came: and they that were ready, went in with him to the wedding, and the gate was shut up.


And when he was come near, he beheld the city, and wept on it, saying, "If thou hadst known those things which belong unto thy peace, even at thy time: But now are they hid from thine eyes.
