I will raise up for them a prophet like you from among their brothers. I will put My words in his mouth, and he will tell them everything I command him.

Although they were looking for a way to arrest Him, they feared the crowds, because they regarded Him as a prophet.
But others said, “He’s Elijah.” Still others said, “He’s a prophet—like one of the prophets.”
Then fear came over everyone, and they glorified God, saying, “A great prophet has risen among us,” and “God has visited His people.”
So they said to Him, “The things concerning Jesus the Nazarene,
“Sir,” the woman replied, “I see that You are a prophet.
When the people saw the sign He had done, they said, “This really is the Prophet who was to come into the world!”

Then I thought: They are just the poor; they have played the fool. For they don't understand the way of the Lord, the justice of their God. I will go to the powerful and speak to them. When the Pharisee who had invited Him saw this, he said to himself, “This man, if He were a prophet, would know who and what kind of woman this is who is touching Him—she’s a sinner!”

This man came to Him at night and said, “Rabbi, we know that You have come from God as a teacher, for no one could perform these signs You do unless God were with him.”
“The Lord your God will raise up for you a prophet like me from among your own brothers. You must listen to him.
“This is the Moses who said to the Israelites, God will raise up for you a Prophet like me from among your brothers.
And everyone who will not listen to that Prophet will be completely cut off from the people.
how will we escape if we neglect such a great salvation? It was first spoken by the Lord and was confirmed to us by those who heard Him.
Moses said: The Lord your God will raise up for you a Prophet like me from among your brothers. You must listen to Him in everything He will say to you. And it will be that everyone who will not listen to that Prophet will be completely cut off from the people.

When Jesus had finished this instruction, He departed from Galilee and went to the region of Judea across the Jordan. Large crowds followed Him, and He healed them there.

As He was teaching in one of the synagogues on the Sabbath, a woman was there who had been disabled by a spirit for over 18 years. She was bent over and could not straighten up at all. When Jesus saw her, He called out to her, "Woman, you are free of your disability." read more.
Then He laid His hands on her, and instantly she was restored and began to glorify God. But the leader of the synagogue, indignant because Jesus had healed on the Sabbath, responded by telling the crowd, "There are six days when work should be done; therefore come on those days and be healed and not on the Sabbath day." But the Lord answered him and said, "Hypocrites! Doesn't each one of you untie his ox or donkey from the feeding trough on the Sabbath and lead it to water? Satan has bound this woman, a daughter of Abraham, for 18 years-shouldn't she be untied from this bondage on the Sabbath day?" When He had said these things, all His adversaries were humiliated, but the whole crowd was rejoicing over all the glorious things He was doing. He said therefore, "What is the kingdom of God like, and what can I compare it to? It's like a mustard seed that a man took and sowed in his garden. It grew and became a tree, and the birds of the sky nested in its branches." Again He said, "What can I compare the kingdom of God to? It's like yeast that a woman took and mixed into 50 pounds of flour until it spread through the entire mixture." He went through one town and village after another, teaching and making His way to Jerusalem. "Lord," someone asked Him, "are there few being saved?" He said to them, "Make every effort to enter through the narrow door, because I tell you, many will try to enter and won't be able once the homeowner gets up and shuts the door. Then you will stand outside and knock on the door, saying, 'Lord, open up for us!' He will answer you, 'I don't know you or where you're from.' Then you will say, 'We ate and drank in Your presence, and You taught in our streets!' But He will say, 'I tell you, I don't know you or where you're from. Get away from Me, all you workers of unrighteousness!' There will be weeping and gnashing of teeth in that place, when you see Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, and all the prophets in the kingdom of God but yourselves thrown out. They will come from east and west, from north and south, and recline at the table in the kingdom of God. Note this: some are last who will be first, and some are first who will be last." At that time some Pharisees came and told Him, "Go, get out of here! Herod wants to kill You!" He said to them, "Go tell that fox, 'Look! I'm driving out demons and performing healings today and tomorrow, and on the third day I will complete My work.' [Do this] in the evening as the sun sets at the [same] time [of day] you departed from Egypt. You are to cook and eat [it] in the place the Lord your God chooses, and you are to return to your tents in the morning.
