Then Jesus went with his disciples to a place called Gethsemane, and he said to them, "Sit here while I go over there and pray." He took Peter and the two sons of Zebedee along with him, and he began to be sorrowful and troubled. Then he said to them, "My soul is exceedingly sorrowful, even to death. And going a little farther he fell on his face and prayed, "O my Father, if it is possible, let this cup pass from me; nevertheless, not as I will, but as you will." Then he came to the disciples and found them sleeping; and he said to Peter, "So, could you not watch with me one hour? Watch and pray, so that you will not enter into temptation. The spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak." Again, a second time, he went away and prayed, "O my Father, if this cup cannot pass away unless I drink it, your will be done." And again he came and found them sleeping, for their eyes were heavy. So he left them, went away again, and prayed the third time, saying the same words. Then he came to the disciples and said to them, "Are you still sleeping and resting? Behold, the hour is at hand, and the Son of Man is being betrayed into the hands of sinners. Rise, let us be going; see, my betrayer is at hand." While he was still speaking, Judas came, one of the twelve, and with him a great crowd with swords and clubs, from the chief priests and the elders of the people. Now the betrayer had given them a sign, saying, "The one I kiss is the man; seize him." And at once he went up to Jesus and said, "Greetings, Rabbi!" and kissed him. Jesus said to him, "Friend, why are you here?" Then they came up and laid hands on Jesus and seized him.
And going a little farther he fell on his face and prayed, "O my Father, if it is possible, let this cup pass from me; nevertheless, not as I will, but as you will." Then he came to the disciples and found them sleeping; and he said to Peter, "So, could you not watch with me one hour? Watch and pray, so that you will not enter into temptation. Now the betrayer had given them a signal, saying, "The one I shall kiss is the man; seize him and lead him away under guard." And when he came, he went up to him at once, and said, "Rabbi!" and he kissed him. And they laid hands on him and seized him.

And being in agony, he prayed more earnestly, and his sweat became like drops of blood falling to the ground. When he rose from prayer, and came to his disciples, he found them sleeping from sorrow. He said to them, "Why do you sleep? Rise and pray that you may not enter into temptation." While he was still speaking, a crowd came, and the man who was called Judas, one of the twelve, was leading them. He drew near to Jesus to kiss him; but Jesus said to him, "Judas, are you betraying the Son of Man with a kiss?" When those around him saw what was going to happen, they said, "Lord, shall we strike with the sword?"
"Father, if you are willing, take this cup from me; nevertheless not my will, but yours, be done." An angel appeared to him from heaven, and strengthened him. And being in agony, he prayed more earnestly, and his sweat became like drops of blood falling to the ground. When he rose from prayer, and came to his disciples, he found them sleeping from sorrow. He said to them, "Why do you sleep? Rise and pray that you may not enter into temptation." While he was still speaking, a crowd came, and the man who was called Judas, one of the twelve, was leading them. He drew near to Jesus to kiss him; but Jesus said to him, "Judas, are you betraying the Son of Man with a kiss?" When those around him saw what was going to happen, they said, "Lord, shall we strike with the sword?"
When Jesus had spoken these words, he went out with his disciples over the Kidron valley, where there was a garden, which he and his disciples entered. Now Judas, who betrayed him, also knew the place; for Jesus often met there with his disciples.

Now as he sat on the Mount of Olives opposite the temple, Peter, James, John, and Andrew asked him privately,
Now as he sat on the Mount of Olives, the disciples came to him privately, saying, "Tell us, when will this be? And what will be the sign of your coming, and of the end of the age?"
He came out, and went to the Mount of Olives, as was his custom, and his disciples followed him.
And every day he was teaching in the temple, but at night he went out to spend the night on the mount called Olivet.
