And Crispus, the ruler of the synagogue, believed in the Lord with all his house; and many of the Corinthians hearing believed, and were baptized.
And the hand of the Lord was with them: and a great number that believed turned unto the Lord.
They then that received his word were baptized: and there were added unto them in that day about three thousand souls.
Nevertheless certain men of Asher and Manasseh and of Zebulun humbled themselves, and came to Jerusalem.
And when all the people saw it, they fell on their faces: and they said, Jehovah, he is God; Jehovah, he is God.

Many also of them that had believed came, confessing, and declaring their deeds.

in the highpriesthood of Annas and Caiaphas, the word of God came unto John the son of Zacharias in the wilderness. And even now the axe also lieth at the root of the trees: every tree therefore that bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire. And the multitudes asked him, saying, What then must we do? And he answered and said unto them, He that hath two coats, let him impart to him that hath none; and he that hath food, let him do likewise. These are the things that ye shall do: speak ye every man the truth with his neighbor; execute the judgment of truth and peace in your gates; and let none of you devise evil in your hearts against his neighbor; and love no false oath: for all these are things that I hate, saith Jehovah.

And Peter'said unto them, Repent ye, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ unto the remission of your sins; and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.
