And when Jesus had finished these parables, he departed thence: and came into his own country, and taught them in their synagogues; so that they were amazed and said, Whence hath this man this wisdom and these powers? Is not this the carpenter's son? is not his mother called Mary? and his brethren James, and Joses, and Simon, and Judas? read more.
and his sisters, are they not all here among us? from whence then hath this man all these things? So they were prejudiced against Him. But Jesus said unto them, A prophet is no where less honoured than in his own country, and in his own family. And he did not many miracles there, because of their unbelief.

And He went out from thence, and came into his own country, and his disciples attended Him: and when the sabbath was come, He began to teach in the synagogue: and many that heard Him were astonished, and said, From whence hath He these things? and what is this wisdom which is given unto Him, that even such mighty things are done by his hands? Is not this the carpenter, the son of Mary, the brother of James, and Joses, and Judas, and Simon? and are not his sisters here among us? and they were prejudiced against Him. read more.
But Jesus said unto them, A prophet is nowhere less honoured, than in his own country, and among his relations, and his own family. And He could do no miracle there, only laying his hands on a few sick people He healed them; and He was amazed at their unbelief. But he went about all the villages round, teaching.


And when He was come into the house, the blind men came to Him: and Jesus saith unto them, Do ye believe that I am able to do this? and they say unto Him, Yes Lord.

This man heard Paul speaking; who looking earnestly at him, and perceiving that he had faith to be healed,


And it has often thrown him both into the fire and into the waters to destroy him. But if thou canst do any thing, have compassion on us and help us. And Jesus said unto him, If thou canst believe, all things are possible to him that believeth. And the father of the child immediately cried out and said with tears, Lord, I believe, help thou my unbelief.
