"You must not wrong a foreigner nor oppress him, for you were foreigners in the land of Egypt.
"You must not oppress a foreigner, since you know the life of a foreigner, for you were foreigners in the land of Egypt.
You must not oppress a lowly and poor servant, whether one from among your fellow Israelites or from the resident foreigners who are living in your land and villages.
No one is to oppress his fellow citizen, but you must fear your God, because I am the Lord your God.
Do not exploit a poor person because he is poor and do not crush the needy in court,
"The Lord who rules over all said, 'Exercise true judgment and show brotherhood and compassion to each other. You must not oppress the widow, the orphan, the foreigner, or the poor, nor should anyone secretly plot evil against his fellow human being.'
