Thematic Bible

And it came to pass, about eight days after these words, that, taking Peter, and John, and James, He went up into the mountain to pray. And it came to pass, as He was praying, that the appearance of His countenance was altered, and His raiment became white and dazzling. And, behold, two men were talking with Him, who, indeed, were Moses and Elijah; read more.
who, appearing in glory, were speaking of His departure which He was about to accomplish at Jerusalem. Now Peter and those with him had become heavy with sleep; but, having watched through it, they saw His glory, and the two men who were standing with Him. And it came to pass, as they were parting from Him, that Peter said to Jesus, "Master, it is good that we are here; and let us make three tents; one for Thee, one for Moses, and one for Elijah;" not knowing what he was saying. Now, while he was saying these things, there came a cloud, and it was overshadowing them; and they feared, as they entered into the cloud. And there came a voice out of the cloud, saying, "This is My Son, the Chosen; hear ye Him." And, when the voice came, Jesus was found alone. And they kept silent, and told no one, in those days, any of the things which they had seen.

And, after six days, Jesus taketh with Him Peter, and James, and John his brother, and bringeth them up into a high mountain apart; and He was transfigured before them; and His face shone as the sun, and His garments became white as the light. And, behold, there appeared to them Moses and Elijah talking with Him. read more.
And Peter, answering, said to Jesus," Lord, it is good that we are here. If Thou wilt, I will make here three tents??ne for Thee, and one for Moses, and one for Elijah." While he was yet speaking, behold, a bright cloud overshadowed them. And, behold, a voice out of the cloud, saying, "This is My beloved Son, in Whom I delighted; hear Him." And the disciples, hearing it, fell on their face, and were exceedingly afraid. And Jesus came near, and, touching them, said, "Arise, and be not afraid." And lifting up their eyes, they saw no one, except Jesus only. And, as they were coming down out of the mountain, Jesus commanded them, saying, "Tell the vision to no one, until the Son of Man be raised from among the dead."
