Cleanse your heart from wickedness, Jerusalem, so that you may be saved. {How long} will your thoughts of mischief dwell in your inner part?


{Take care} so that there will not be {a thought of wickedness} in your heart, {saying}, 'The seventh year, the year of the remission of debt is near,' {and you view your needy neighbor with hostility}, and [so] you [do] not give to him, and he might cry [out] against you to Yahweh, and {you would incur guilt against yourself}.




For, like hair in his {throat}, so it is. "Eat and drink!" he will say to you, but his heart will not be with you.

"And I--their works and thoughts!--[am] about to come to gather all nations and tongues, and they shall come and see my glory.



Crooked is the way of a man and a foreigner, but the pure [is] upright [in] his conduct.



Yahweh rewarded me according to my righteousness, according to the cleanness of my hands he recompensed me. For I have kept the ways of Yahweh; I have not acted wickedly against my God. For all of his ordinances [were] before me, and I did not turn aside from his statutes. read more.
I was blameless before him, and I kept myself from my iniquity. Yahweh has recompensed me according to my righteousness, according to my cleanness before his eyes. With the loyal, you act as loyal, and with the blameless, you show yourself blameless. With the pure, you show yourself pure, but with the crooked, you appear as a fool.

Therefore Yahweh has repaid me according to my righteousness, according to the cleanness of my hands in his sight. To [the] loyal you show yourself loyal. To [the] blameless you show yourself blameless. To [the] pure you show yourself pure. but to [the] wicked you show yourself shrewd.
