Contentiousness » The contentious spirit
He that loveth strife, delighteth in sin; and whoso setteth his door too high, seeketh after a fall.
An angry man stirreth up strife; but he that is patient stilleth discord.
Coals kindle heat, and wood the fire; even so doth a brawling fellow stir up variance.
I labour for peace; but when I speak unto them thereof, they make them ready to battle.
which imagine mischief in their hearts, and stir up strife all the day long.
A fool's lips are ever brawling, and his mouth provoketh unto battle.
Why lettest thou me see weariness and labour? Tyranny and violence are before me, power overgoeth right:
