Afflictions of the The Wicked » Are multiplied
Then my anger shall be kindled against them in that day, and I will forsake them, and I will hide my face from them, and they shall be devoured, and many evils and troubles shall come upon them, so that they will say in that day, H
Though wickedness be sweet in his mouth, though he hide it under his tongue, though he spares it, and will not let it go, but keep it still within his mouth, yet his food in his bowels is turned. It is the gall of asps within him. read more.
He has swallowed down riches, and he shall vomit them up again. God will cast them out of his belly. He shall suck the poison of asps. The viper's tongue shall kill him. He shall not look upon the rivers, the flowing streams of honey and butter. That which he labored for shall he restore, and shall not swallow it down. According to the substance that he has gotten, he shall not rejoice.

LORD is good, a stronghold in the day of trouble, and he knows those who take refuge in him.
Blessed is the man who trusts in LORD, and whose trust LORD is.
As for God, his way is perfect. The word of LORD is tried. He is a shield to all those who take refuge in him.
LORD redeems the soul of his servants, and none of those who take refuge in him shall be condemned.
The fear of man brings a snare, but he who puts his trust in LORD shall be safe.
O how great is thy goodness, which thou have laid up for those who fear thee, which thou have wrought for those who take refuge in thee before the sons of men!
Thou will keep [him] in perfect peace, [whose] mind [is] stayed [on thee], because he trusts in thee.

For all this they still sinned, and did not believe in his wondrous works. Therefore he consumed their days in vanity, and their years in terror.
Mercy » Who shall have mercy
Many sorrows shall be to the wicked, but he who trusts in LORD, loving kindness shall encompass him about.
Sow to yourselves in righteousness. Reap according to kindness. Break up your fallow ground, for it is time to seek LORD, till he comes and rains righteousness upon you.
Blessed are the merciful, because they will obtain mercy.
He who covers his transgressions shall not prosper, but he who confesses and forsakes them shall obtain mercy.
All the paths of LORD are loving kindness and truth to such as keep his covenant and his testimonies.
Do they not err who devise evil? But mercy and truth [are to] those who devise good.

For the love of money is a root of all the evils, of which some aspiring have wandered from the faith, and have pierced themselves through with many sorrows.
He who begets a fool [it is] to his sorrow, and the father of a fool has no joy.
Lord LORD has given me the tongue of those who are taught, that I may know how to sustain with words him who is weary. He awakens morning by morning. He awakens my ear to hear as those who are taught. Lord LORD has opened my ear, and I was not rebellious, nor turned away backward. He who walks in darkness, and has no light, let him trust in the name of LORD, and rely upon his God. Behold, all ye who kindle a fire, who gird yourselves about with firebrands, walk ye in the flame of your fire, and among the brands that ye have kindled. This ye shall have from my hand. Ye shall lie down in sorrow.
