The rich and the poor meet together. LORD is the maker of them all.
Then Job arose, and tore his robe, and shaved his head, and fell down upon the ground, and worshipped. And he said, Naked I came out of my mother's womb, and naked I shall return there. LORD gave, and LORD has taken away, blessed be the name of LORD.
Thine, O LORD, is the greatness, and the power, and the glory, and the victory, and the majesty, for all that is in the heavens and on the earth [is thine]. Thine is the kingdom, O LORD, and thou are exalted as head above all. Both riches and honor come of thee, and thou rule over all. And in thy hand is power and might. And in thy hand it is to make great, and to give strength to all.
LORD makes poor, and makes rich. He brings low, he also lifts up.
Yea, certainly God will not do wrong. Neither will the Almighty pervert justice. Who gave him a charge over the earth? Or who has disposed the whole world? If he sets his heart upon himself, [if] he gathers his spirit and his breath to himself, read more.
all flesh shall perish together, and man shall turn again to dust. If now [thou be] understanding, hear this. Hearken to the voice of words. Behold thou him who hates lawlessness, and who destroys evil men, who is forever righteousness, [him] who says to a king, [Thou are] vile, to ranking men, [Ye are] wicked, who does not respect the persons of rulers, nor regards the rich more than the poor. For they all are the work of his hands.

And [lest] thou say in thy heart, My power and the might of my hand has gotten me this wealth. But thou shall remember LORD thy God, for it is he who gives thee power to get wealth, that he may establish his covenant which he swore to thy fathers, as at this day.
