They shall not hunger nor thirst, neither shall the heat nor sun smite them: for he that hath mercy on them shall lead them, even by the springs of water shall he guide them.

And when the child was grown, it happened on a day, that he went out to his father to the reapers. And he said to his father, My head, my head. And he said to a lad, Carry him to his mother. And when he had taken him, and brought him to his mother, he sat on her knees till noon, and then died.



Truly the light is sweet, and a pleasant thing it is for the eyes to behold the sun:

I went mourning without the sun: I stood up, and I cried in the congregation.


For the sun hath no sooner risen with a burning heat, but it withereth the grass, and its flower falleth, and the grace of the fashion of it perisheth: so also shall the rich man fade away in his ways.

But when the sun had risen, it was scorched; and because it had no root, it withered away.


Look not upon me, because I am black, because the sun hath looked upon me: my mother's children were angry with me; they made me the keeper of the vineyards; but my own vineyard have I not kept.


And for the precious fruits brought forth by the sun, and for the precious things put forth by the moon,


And they gathered it every morning, every man according to his eating: and when the sun became hot, it melted.
