And he summoned the twelve and began to send them out two [by] two, and gave them authority over the unclean spirits. And he commanded them that they take along nothing for the journey except only a staff--no bread, no traveler's bag, no money in their belts-- but to put on sandals and not to wear two tunics. read more.
And he said to them, "Whenever you enter into a house, stay there until you depart from there. And whatever place does not welcome you or listen to you, [as you] go out from there, shake off the dust that is on your feet for a testimony against them."

And into whatever town or village you enter, inquire who in it is worthy, and stay [there] until you depart. And [when you] enter into the house, greet it. And if the house is worthy, let your peace come upon it, but if it is not worthy, let your peace return to you. And whoever does not welcome you or listen to your words, shake off the dust from your feet [as you] are going out of that house or [that] town. Truly I say to you, it will be more bearable for the region of Sodom and Gomorrah on the day of judgment than for that town!

And he said to them, "The harvest [is] plentiful, but the workers [are] few. Therefore ask the Lord of the harvest that he send out workers into his harvest. Go! Behold, I am sending you out like lambs in the midst of wolves! read more.

And if a son of peace is there, your peace will rest on him. But if not, it will return to you. And into whatever town you enter and they welcome you, eat {whatever is} set before you, and heal the sick in it, and say to them, "The kingdom of God has come near to you." But into whatever town you enter and they do not welcome you, go out into its streets [and] say, "Even the dust of your town that clings to our feet we wipe off against you! Nevertheless know this: that the kingdom of God has come near!" I tell you that it will be more bearable on that day for Sodom than for that town!
