Victuals » Kinds prohibited by mosaic law
Now be careful! Do not drink wine or beer, and do not eat any food that will make you ritually unclean.
However, you must not eat these from among those that chew the cud and have divided hooves: The camel is unclean to you because it chews the cud even though its hoof is not divided.
But you must not eat meat with its life (that is, its blood) in it.
He must not eat an animal that has died of natural causes or an animal torn by beasts and thus become unclean by it. I am the Lord.
