'Therefore, O king, may my advice be pleasing to you: break away now from your sins by doing righteousness and from your iniquities by showing mercy to the poor, in case there may be a prolonging of your prosperity.'

While he was sitting on the judgment seat, his wife sent him a message, saying, "Have nothing to do with that righteous Man; for last night I suffered greatly in a dream because of Him."

And he said to them, "Men of Israel, take care what you propose to do with these men.


Concerning Edom Thus says the LORD of hosts, "Is there no longer any wisdom in Teman? Has good counsel been lost to the prudent? Has their wisdom decayed?


"So give Your servant an understanding heart to judge Your people to discern between good and evil. For who is able to judge this great people of Yours?"


behold, I have done according to your words Behold, I have given you a wise and discerning heart, so that there has been no one like you before you, nor shall one like you arise after you.

Now God gave Solomon wisdom and very great discernment and breadth of mind, like the sand that is on the seashore.

"Wise in heart and mighty in strength, Who has defied Him without harm?

"Take my instruction and not silver, And knowledge rather than choicest gold.

He who troubles his own house will inherit wind, And the foolish will be servant to the wisehearted.
