He is in the way of life who heeds correction, but he who forsakes reproof leads others astray.
and you have forgotten the exhortation which reasons with you as with children, "My son, do not take lightly the discipline of the Lord, nor lose heart when you are reproved by him; For whom the Lord loves, he disciplines, and scourges every son whom he receives." It is for discipline that you endure. God deals with you as with children, for what son is there whom his father does not discipline?
He went forward a little, fell on his face, and prayed, saying, "My Father, if it is possible, let this cup pass away from me; nevertheless, not what I desire, but what you desire."
He said, "Abba, Father, all things are possible to you. Please remove this cup from me. However, not what I desire, but what you desire."
saying, "Father, if you are willing, remove this cup from me. Nevertheless, not my will, but yours, be done."
But he said to her, "You speak as one of the foolish women would speak. What? Shall we receive good at the hand of God, and shall we not receive evil?" In all this Job did not sin with his lips.
I delight to do your will, my God. Yes, your Law is within my heart."
The Lord GOD has opened my ear, and I was not rebellious, neither turned away backward.
We know that all things work together for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose.
