But I say to you that whoever shall put away his wife, except for the cause of fornication, causes her to commit adultery. And whoever shall marry her who is put away commits adultery.

And I say to you, Whoever shall put away his wife, except for fornication, and shall marry another, commits adultery; and whoever marries her who is put away commits adultery.

Everyone putting away his wife and marrying another commits adultery; and everyone marrying her who is put away from her husband commits adultery.

For the married woman was bound by law to the living husband. But if the husband is dead, she is set free from the law of her husband.

It was also said, Whoever shall put away his wife, let him give her a bill of divorce.

Marriage is honorable in all, and the bed undefiled, but fornicators and adulterers God will judge.

The wife is bound by the law as long as her husband lives, but if her husband sleeps in death, she is at liberty to be remarried to whom she will, only in the Lord.

On the whole it is reported that there is fornication among you, and such fornication as is not even named among the nations, so as one to have his father's wife.

If any man takes a wife and goes in to her, and hates her, and makes shameful charges against her, and brings up an evil name on her, and says, I took this woman, and when I came to her, I did not find in her the tokens of virginity, then shall the father of the girl, and her mother, take and bring tokens of the girl's virginity to the elders of the city in the gate.read more.

But, because of the fornications, let each have his own wife, and let each have her own husband. Let the husband give to the wife proper kindness, and likewise the wife also to the husband. The wife does not have authority over her own body, but the husband. And likewise also the husband does not have authority over his own body, but the wife.read more.
Do not deprive one another, unless it is with consent for a time, so that you may give yourselves to fasting and prayer. And come together again so that Satan does not tempt you for your incontinence.

Truly, then, God overlooking the times of ignorance, now He strictly commands all men everywhere to repent,

in flaming fire taking vengeance on those who do not know God and who do not obey the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ,
