They soon forgot his works; they waited not for his counsel:

Because they had rebelled against the words of God, and had despised the counsel of the Most High; ...

Who is this that darkeneth counsel by words without knowledge?

I know that thou canst do everything, and that thou canst be hindered in no thought of thine. Who is he that obscureth counsel without knowledge? therefore have I uttered what I did not understand; things too wonderful for me, which I knew not.

Ye search the scriptures, for ye think that in them ye have life eternal, and they it is which bear witness concerning me; and ye will not come to me that ye might have life.
