9 Bible Verses about Affections Should Not Grow Cold

And because lawlessness shall abound, the charity of many shall wax cold.

Nevertheless I have against thee that thou hast left thy first love, charity.

And the Lord make you to multiply and make charity to abound among you and toward all men, even as it is with us toward you,

They became rash. They soon forgot his works; they waited not for his counsel:

not slothful in earnest care, but fervent in the Spirit, serving the Lord,

Where is then the blessedness ye spoke of? for I bear you record that if it had been possible, ye would have plucked out your own eyes and have given them to me.

I know thy works, that thou art neither cold nor hot; I would thou wert cold or hot. So then because thou art lukewarm and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth. Because thou sayest, I am rich and increased with goods and have need of nothing and knowest not that thou art wretched and miserable and poor and blind and naked,

And this I pray that your charity may abound yet more and more in knowledge and in all perception,

and forgot his works and his wonders that he had showed them.
