He sent letters to all the divisions of the kingdom where their language is used. The letter said that every man was to be the ruler in his house, and that this order was to be given out in the language of his people.

Then on the thirteenth day of the first month, the king's scribes were summoned. Jehovah said to me: Take a large writing tablet, and write on it with a pen: Maher Shalal Hash Baz (The Looting Will Come Quickly; the Prey Will Be Easy).

These were young people who had no defects. They were good looking and intelligent, with knowledge. They showed wisdom, knowledge, and understanding of science. They had ability to serve in the king's court and were taught the language and literature of the Chaldeans.

I solemnly tell you, heaven and earth would pass away before one small letter (detail) will pass away from the Law. All things must be accomplished.

It is easier for heaven and earth to disappear than for the smallest detail of the Law to be eliminated.
